(1) Abid Awan is the founder and principal consultant at Fortune. He is a corporate relationship management and structured finance professional with a broad based international experience of 24 years mainly in the corporate and investment banking industry.

In his professional career prior to establishing Fortune, Abid held senior positions at Standard Chartered Bank, UAE and ANZ Grindlays Bank, Pakistan. He has been based in the UAE for over 16 years and the last position he served during his employment career (1996-2012) was Regional Head Structured T. Finance at Standard Chartered Bank based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

He has a well-rounded experience of financing and managing both local and international clients across diversified industries with transactional experience of more than US$ 5.0 billion. Over the years, he has developed a very strong network across the GCC region.

In 2014, Abid established Fortune MCS which is a Dubai based management consulting firm that provides M&A, divestments and capital raising consultancy to corporate clients.

(2) Nauman Zafar Ahmad, Principal Consultant, is a tech-entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in management and delivery of enterprise technology solutions & services for financial, government, telecom and energy sectors in the Middle East. He is also founder of Orient Management Consulting & training, a boutique human capacity development organization that he founded in 2013.

Prior to this, he spearheaded various R&D ventures with leading investor groups on mobile financial services & smart card based identity and business applications. Earlier, in a role with a semi-government system integrator, he managed technology projects of US$250 million.

Nauman spent 10 years at Microsoft Corporation at various positions covering Gulf & Eastern Mediterranean Region. Starting as a technology specialist, delivering the first data warehousing train-the trainer workshop back in 1998. He then moved on to manage Independent Software Vendors and Industry Solutions Business in the region. The final role was running the government and defense sector business, managing relationships at the highest level. A highlight of the final year at Microsoft was coordinating a meeting of seven cabinet ministers with Bill Gates at Abu Dhabi Government Leaders Conference in 2008.

Nauman is a computer science graduate. He started his professional career with ADNIC (largest Insurance company) developing in-house insurance applications and then joining ADNOC subsidiary to manage IT Application development teams.

He specializes in developing strategic alliances with public and private sector entities to enable long-term value based partnerships.

(3) Fahd Ahmed holds a MSC in Banking and Finance degree from King’s College London and BSC (Honors) in Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences. He is currently working as an Analyst at Fortune.   

(4) Mahrukh Khurram holds a Bachelor of Arts from Gustavas Adolphus College, Minnesota, USA . She is currently working as an Analyst at Fortune and was previously working as a corporate accountant and financial analyst at Taylor Corporation USA.
